Overview
We have a well-equipped wood working shed that allows students to use all types of tools both traditional and power tools. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with the timber and any other materials for projects.
Our students love making shelves, whittling spoons, repairing old furniture and designing and creating their own designs all whilst putting the world to rights. A lot of students have found that woodwork is very therapeutic in being able to take a moment to sit and focus

We have found that making a wooden object can bring a sense of accomplishment whilst boosting mood, confidence and cognitive function. The woodwork projects helps students concentrate, keeping their minds active and focussed helping to reduce stress and anxiety.
